If you wish to speak to your doctor by telephone, the receptionist will put your call through to the secretary in the first instance, who will, in turn, pass your details to your doctor to call you back, usually after surgery, if she is unable to assist you.  Telephone requests for continuation sick notes should always be accompanied by the dates required for the certificate.  If you need to speak to a nurse, your details will be taken and the nurse will call you back when she is free.
