| When the surgery is closed, there is a
doctor on call for emergencies. Telephone 0845
0264418, stay on the line and your call will
automatically be transferred to the out of hours service.
Routine matters should be left until surgery opens at
08.30am, when the telephone will switch to Reception at
the Barton Surgery. Devon Primary Care Trust commissions Devon Doctors on Call for out of hours cover. If you experience any problems with the out of hours service or have any comments to make, these should be directed to Devon Primary Care Trust (01626 357000) or Devon Doctors on Call (0845 6710270). If you require a doctor in an emergency, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance. For routine advice on a particular problem, please contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647 where trained nurses are available to take your call 24 hours a day.
