Easter Pharmacy Opening Times

In order to ensure that the health and social care community are aware of arrangements over the period, primary care services information is included in this Easter 2026 Information Pack.

Each contractor list is sorted by contractor type, to help identify services in a specific area.

GP practices work closely with their local pharmacies and arrange early collection for
repeat prescriptions where this is appropriate. The majority of practices also have
arrangements with pharmacies regarding repeat dispensing services, enabling patients to
collect repeat medication direct from the pharmacy.
Over the holiday period (02 April-07 April), with the exception of the following days, most pharmacies are open as normal:

Access to Pharmaceutical Services

Rota arrangements are in place for community pharmacy services throughout the year,
including this holiday period. This ensures that there is good geographical distribution
across the county, of pharmacies that are open later in the evening and weekends. In
addition to the rota, there are now a number of pharmacies each providing 100 hours of
service per week.
