Opening Hours

BARTON SURGERY Monday – Friday: 08.30am – 6.00pm
The Barton Surgery has early morning appointments, 07.00am – 08.00am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. These are pre-bookable appointments designed to be used by people going to work. Please note, the surgery is not open for any other services during this time.

WARREN SURGERY Monday – Friday: 12.00noon (first come, first served)

The Receptionist arrives at the Warren Surgery at approximately 11.30am. Once the doctor has seen all the patients, the surgery closes. It is advisable to arrive at the surgery before 12.00noon if you need to see a doctor. Any patients arriving at the Warren Surgery after 12.30pm may not be seen.

PLEASE NOTE: The Warren Surgery, as a branch surgery, can only offer services to patients who live in Dawlish Warren and holiday-makers staying at the holiday camps in Dawlish Warren.

Out of Hours
When the surgery is closed, there is a doctor on call for emergencies. Telephone 111, which is a Freephone number, NHS 111 will help you find the right care to meet your needs, including the Devon Doctors service. Routine matters should be left until surgery opens at 08.30am, when the telephone will switch to Reception at the Barton Surgery.

Torbay and South Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) contracts with Devon Doctors on Call for out of hours cover. If you experience any problems with the out of hours service or have any comments to make, these should be directed to Torbay and South Devon CCG (01803 652500) or Devon Doctors on Call (0845 6710 270).

NHS 111: As well as triaging the out of hours calls, NHS 111 can help at any time of the day or night with questions such as:
• If you think you need to go to hospital
• Don’t know who to call for medical help
• Don’t have a GP to call
• Need medical advice or reassurance about what to do next

For health needs that are not urgent you should call your GP. If a health professional has given you a number to call for a particular condition please continue to use that number.
