The Barton Surgery is the only GP practice in Dawlish and is situated in the upper part of the main car park in the town, adjacent to Dawlish Community Hospital.
We have 14,700 patients, mainly resident in Dawlish and Dawlish Warren, and the practice also looks after as many as 3,500 holiday makers who come to the area each year.
Barton Surgery is situated within a pay and display car park, owned and managed by Teignbridge District Council and is, therefore, outside of our area of control. There is limited free parking in the road and the surgery is a drop off point for the local shopper bus. The surgery has suitable access for the disabled.
The Barton Surgery is fortunate to have a pharmacy located on site, run by Lloyds Chemists. The opening hours of this pharmacy are 08.00am – 6.30pm Monday – Friday.
The doctors of the practice offer a wide range of services, supported by nursing, reception and secretarial staff. The practice is also supported by health visitors, district nurses, midwives, community psychiatric nurse, and, with Dawlish Community Hospital being adjacent to the Barton Surgery; we have the use of their facilities.
