RESEARCH FOR POTENTIAL TREATMENTS FOR COVID-19

The practice is working in partnership with Public Health England and the University of Oxford to deliver a new research study to patients with symptoms of COVID-19. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE TESTED FOR COVID-19 AS PART OF THE STUDY PROTOCOL.

If you have developed a temperature (hot to touch) or a new cough in the last 14 days, the Research Team at Oxford University would like you to consider taking part in their research trial which is investigating potential treatments for coronavirus. Please note that the time frame has been extended to 14 days.

More information about the study can be found in the PRINCIPLE Participation Information Leaflet.

Alternatively, if you have developed EITHER of the above symptoms in the LAST 14 DAYS, and would like to take part, you can ENROLL YOURSELF INTO THE STUDY HERE.

Eligible patients will be randomised to usual care or to start a drug called Hydroxychloroquine.

If you have any questions relating to the study, please visit the study website here, or alternatively email the Principle Study Team on principle@phc.ox.ac.uk
